"Carrara" Photo Exhibition at J+A Gallery, Photography2012 Contest shows us
the around Italian town of Carrara, the world-known marble quarries artist
project. This design project has displaying unique materials and marble. Marble
is one of praised and universally acclaimed materials, because it’s technical
characteristics and aesthetical. This event is the first Bertram Kober’s
exhibition in the Middle East. He is quite famous in Europe and the US before.

It is an exhibition of Bertram
Kober’s photo with a selection from his "Carrara" series. Bertram
Kober is co-founder of the "Neue Schule für Fotografie" in Berlin. He
won the Venice Biennial photo competition 2011. "Carrara" Photo Exhibition at J+A
Gallery, photography 2012 contest capture the dimension of the stone
quarry which is used over the past 3000 years in the famous little Italian town
and its surrounding area. The Bertram
Kober’s photographs give us the unique sign site of the Carrara marble quarries
with all drama happen there and its beauty inside. In this project, Kober
excavated special antiquity theme and luxurious material for his construction
and artwork.

The exhibition opens for public
and started from 10th November 2012 until 9th January 2013. It will be held for
two months and one day. Located in J+A Gallery ,Al Quoz Industrial Area 1, Street
4A, Compound #5, Warehouse #5, Near Noor Islamic Bank Metro Station and beside RAW Coffee and 4 Walls Art Gallery,
the visitor feel free to enjoy the exhibition without any charge for entrance.
